Welcome to Burdekin Special School

Burdekin School provides educational pathways for students from Playgroup through to Year 12. All programs deliver quality educational learning opportunities embedding a connectedness to real life experiences. The goal is for all students to transition from school with the skills and knowledge required to become active and informed citizens of the Burdekin community.

Our school motto is “Striving for independence”.

The Burdekin School culture reflects the practices of the School Wide positive behaviour support and Kids matter programs. Support for students, parents, staff and other school community members are paramount at Burdekin School as “We all matter”.

The staff are very proud and committed to the progress of our students and we are readily available to answer any questions.
